Hongkong Craze Day 1

Do It Yourself -  HONGKONG

Oh la! I'ts been a while since i wrote something about my travel escapade. This time, I went to Hongkong along with my boyfriend Ej, his sister Eden and my sister May Ann for 4 days. My blog about Hongkong will be divided per day so I would be able to share my best experiences and things I did that might be helpful once it's your time to visit the place.

At around 6 AM of March 15, 2014, we arrived in Mactan International Airport. Our departure time was around 9:25 AM so we had an ample time to relax. Also, we did not have any problem with Immigration. They did not ask about anything so all of us passed through real fast. Usually, they will ask what's your purpose of going to that place or they will ask you some documents as proof.

After 2 hours and half, we arrived at Hongkong Airport via Cebu Pacific. We did not waste our time, so we immediately rode their MTR going to Hongkong proper so we would reach Tsim Sha Tsui (Golden Crown Hotel) where we will be staying. After several times of going back and forth to locate the hotel, we found the place, thanks to one Filipina who helped us. It doesn't look like the pictures we saw on their website but at least it was a good place to relax with its own toilet, TV, 2 queen size bed and of course, WI-FI.

Our First agenda would be to visit their known Victoria Peak Tram. We followed the long line to pay the Entrance fee which is around $80. After 30 minutes of waiting, we were able to ride the train-like and we were really amazed to see all the beautiful scenery of Hongkong including the tall buildings. When we arrived there, it was really really cold. Freezing cold. We had a great time buying stuffs for give-away and taking pictures of their wax gallery. Too bad, we had to pay for the entrance again so we decided not to go in to save money.

After enjoying Victoria Peak, we decided to drop by at Ladies Market in Mongkok to check out on their cheap stuffs like clothes and girl's bags, unfortunately, we didn't find one. I bought key chains but it's more expensive than the one in Victoria Peak. Darn! I should have bought there instead.

So after several walking in Mongkok, we went home to have a good night rest and be ready for the next day activities. It was a tough day but we enjoyed a lot. There's more to come and I can't wait for it! :)

Oh! By the way, we had a hard time looking for rice so we ended up eating at KFC. The foods there are a bit pricey but servings are a lot. FYI too, we needed to buy jacket or coat to combat the cold weather. It was something we didn't expect. HAHA
