Day 4: Bangkok CHATUCHAK Weekend Market!

Today is our 4th day here in Bangkok. After a good sleep last night, we are now ready to hussle. Let's go to Chatuchak Weekend Market. The ever famous and biggest market in Thailand where you can find almost everything.

We didn't wake up early today because the market would open at 10 AM. We had our yummy breakfast at the hostel. The price were a bit steep but they cook well so worth the price.

After preparation, we are now ready to go to the market. From our hostel, we rode Sam Yan Mrt going to Chatuchak Mrt. The fare was 40 THB. When we arrived there, the weather was a bit hot, good thing, most of their stalls have big roof. I would suggest that you wear relaxing clothes and shoes. From the Mrt station, we had to walk a bit going to the main entrance of the market. Also, you have to remember the station number where you entered so that you will not get lost if it's time to go home. The market is really huge and you can ask for a map from the information booth. I forgot where we found the information but I believe it was close to #23-27.

We had a great time checking around a lot of stuff in the market. I would suggest that if you like something, you go ahead and haggle a bit but if it's still pricey, you can check for other nearby stores but make sure you buy it because you might not be able to find it anymore. Also, when you buy stuff there, make sure to double check because some are not in good quality. I bought key holder and a wallet, both had missing parts. So yeah, it's better to check it. Just don't be carried away with the low price. Lol. You can also have a foot massage anywhere in the market because they are available almost every alley. The cost would range around 200 to 250 thb from 30 mins to an hour. You can also try their famous coconut halo2x. 😊.

In my opinion, the place is worth the hype if you are a shopping addict but for those who do not like excessive walking, just stay at home. Haha. Going home, we rode the Chatuchak Mrt going to Sam yan mrt for 42 THB. We decided to just go home immediately to rest because we were so tired. We wanted to relax and spend some time in our hostel. Lol. During the evening, we decided to walk around the street of Silom and ate BBQ as our dinner for the night. :)

We went home really full! The street food was really delicious! :)
